The construction has started

The festival is approaching, which means the construction of the Noorderplantsoen started Monday! In ten days, a complete 'village' will be built in the Noorderplantsoen, including - a number of new - performance locations, bars and terraces, installations and of course the well-known meter-long ribbon lighting. You can also enjoy beautiful Noorderzon performances at eleven different downtown locations in the city centre of Groningen. We can't wait to see you again!

What exactly are we building?

We have made a number of changes and improvements this year. In the northern part of the festival site you will soon find the mirror tent Pollux and a smaller tent Nova, open-air music stage Apollo, terraces Paradijsvogel and De Raaf along the pond and a small stage for music: Podium De Raaf. In the southern part you will find an area especially for children: De Kleine Beer, music stage Callisto, a large tent for the circus performance TERCES, performance location Atlas and several terraces. Spread over the park you will find a diverse range of food and drinks. Containers can also be found in three places: on the Leliesingel at the height of the Sikkenspoortje, near the Paradijsvogel terrace by the pond, and towards the south at the intersection with the Maartje Bospad. In addition, there are performances in 8 different locations in downtown Groningen: Forum Groningen, Grand Theatre, Het Houten Huis, Lutherse Kerk, Machinefabriek, Provinciehuis, VRIJDAG Theater and Usva.

The festival site is slowly taking shape and Noorderzon is just around the corner! We're excited to see you again. Do you already have tickets? The full programme is known and can be found on theĀ programme page. Tickets are only available online prior to the festival via the festival's website.

The Kiosk at the head of the pond will be replaced by De Winkel, where you can ask questions and buy tickets and merchandise. De Winkel is open from 17 to 27 August from 1 p.m. till 10 p.m.

Tokens for the children's programme and tickets for the container programme can only be purchased on location during the festival for the day itself.
