Today we kick off!

Today at 3:00 PM (1:00 PM at the Speelweide) the 35th edition of Noorderzon kicks off – and we can’t wait!

After ten days of building in the city centre and the Noorderplantsoen, we are completely ready. Twelve locations across the city set the stage for theatre, dance and circus from all over the world – from Australia to Lebanon. We host conversations with and about women, about rebellion and protest, and about Groningen and its surroundings. There are concerts under the stars and among the trees, a sparkling literary programme full of lectures, readings and encounters, short theatre performances, creative workshops and playful installations for children, a container programme full of local heroes, an open-air cinema and an extensive free-to-visit programme. With more than 150 events, Noorderzon brings the world to your feet – and your feet to the grass.
