Where to go in the upcoming days?

Program tips for the second week

The first days of Noorderzon are over! Fortunately, there are still many wonderful days ahead, full of unmissable programs. Below you’ll find a number of tips for the coming days.

A selection of the program

Portraits in Motion | Volker Gerling
Photographer Gerling wanders not only along quiet back alleys, but also through time itself, in a beautiful and poetic ode to ourselves. Each flipbook tells a small story, and when you look into the eyes of the subjects, you get a direct glimpse into their lives. Portraits in Motion is an incredibly modest and warm one-hour performance.

La Luz de un Lago | El Conde de Torrefiel
Imposing screens, four flickering stories, and a stage full of sound and colour. El Conde de Torrefiel takes your imagination to a new level — by making you watch your own thoughts.

Qui Som | Baro d'Evel
To call Baro d’evel a circus company is like calling Björk just a pop star. This is so much more than you can imagine. The performance “Who Are We?” (Qui som?) is a dreamy, playful, and sensory journey into our inner world and the essence of who we are. After their triumphantly received performances at the prestigious Festival d’Avignon, these makers, with roots in circus, bring their rich experience to Noorderzon.

De Linkse Mannen Lossen Het Op
De Linkse Mannen ar back at Noorderzon! Of course, Bram and Wilbert have always been somewhat nearby, but at Noorderzon they tackle a big or small social problem and a visitor’s concern every day. Together with Marjolein Rover — and with a daily artist-in-residence. Because real left-wing men solve problems with culture. Featuring, among others, Mayor Roelien Kamminga, Maurits de Bruin, Nienke 'S Gravemade, and our new director Rutger.
