Festival area the Noorderplantsoen
On foot/by bicycle
Coming from the Central Station, you cross the canal via the pedestrian bridge at the Groninger Museum and go toward the city centre. Having arrived at the Vismarkt (one of the central squares of Groningen) you continue straight on, through the Stoeldraaierstraat and the Oude and Nieuwe (old and new) Kijk in ’t Jatstraat to the Noorderplantsoen park. The walk takes about 20 minutes, by bicycle it takes you about 10 minutes. Cyclist can place their bikes in one of the many bike parks at the festival grounds. At the central station - and some other places in the city - you can rent bicycles. Click here to plan your route.
By train
Coming from outside the city? Then we recommend travelling by public transport. If you're travelling with Arriva, you might just find yourself on the one and only Noorderzon train! With Arriva, you can also get a day ticket, letting you travel around Groningen and Friesland for €12.50.
By bus
From Groningen's Hoofdstation, bus lines 7 or 19 run every fifteen minutes to the Verlengde Visserstraat stop. From P+R Reitdiep and Station Groningen Noord, you can take bus line 1 or 2 to the Noorderplantsoen stop. On weekdays, you can also travel directly from Station Europapark to the Noorderplantsoen stop via line 2. Tip: with a broezz'n ticket, two people can travel unlimited by bus for €13.50. Most of the DownTown locations are easily accessible by foot or by bike from Central Station and as well from the Noorderplantsoen park.
