The Rest of Our Lives

Jo Fong & George Orange

A joyful confrontation with the beginning of the end

Two bodies, two lives, somewhere in the middle. In a playful, lightly chaotic universe where the everyday slowly tilts, the performers take you towards the inevitable and everything in between. The Rest of Our Lives moves between dance, theatre, circus and play: a joyful, unsettling and moving celebration of the (almost) end.

Jo Fong (dancer and choreographer) and George Orange (clown and physical performer) bring together more than a century of life and stage experience. With dancefloor hits, a book full of lottery tickets and an infectious kind of eco-optimism, they build a world that is at once light-footed and fragile.

There is laughter, play, wobbling. But beneath that lightness lies something else: time ticking on, bodies changing, the question of how to keep moving when everything slows down. The beginning of the end, and an attempt not just to carry that, but to celebrate it. In short: we're still here, and that's worth celebrating.

Fong and Orange have found the secret to living happily for the rest of our lives.
