Robin Kester

Concert at Apollo

Floating between the corners of bedroom-pop, electronic music and psychedelic rock, Robin Kester writes completely adventurous music, always with an element of mystery lurking. Her music is a dreamy blend of her soft, mesmerising voice and experimentation with retro guitars, vintage synthesizers and an antique vibraphone.

Hypnotising bedroom-pop with an angelic voice

Robin Kester’s music is a dreamlike melange of her soft, magical voice and experimental retro guitars, vintage synthesizers and an antique vibraphone. Her recently released latest album Honeycomb Shades is not only in our view an absolute stunner as musical experts both in the Netherlands as well as abroad seem to outbid each other in superlatives in praising this album. It is inspired by lush 1970s pop with hints of dreampop à la Beach House, mixed with otherworldly, etheric qualities from artists like Weyes Blood and Sufjan Stevens together with a touch of Cate Le Bon’s chamber-pop.

Robin Kester enchants with her dreamy visions.
