Noorderzondag

On Noorderzon’s closing day, cultural groups and organisations traditionally gather in the Noorderplantsoen in order to jointly close Noorderzon as well as open the new cultural year. This year’s edition however is special: apart from being the first time since the pandemic, it also coincides with the celebration of the 350th Anniversary of the Siege of Groningen. Join us and visit interesting workshops, stroll between the many stalls on the cultural market and visit the festive array of live performances and music spread over the Noorderplantsoen as well as Groningen’s city centre, where the 350th Anniversary of the Siege of Groningen Foundation presents – among others – the Longest Terrace of Groningen and many other activities at the Grote Markt. In short, the perfect way to spend the very last day of this year’s edition of Noorderzon.
