Keiko Shichijo i.s.m. Soundsofmusic

The recently deceased Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto managed to blend many different styles within his substantial oeuvre, ranging from electronic pop music to classical movie soundtracks. Without a doubt he was best known as the composer of the film score of Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. In this movie he also starred – together with David Bowie – as an actor. The poetic piano compositions of Sakamoto are the centrepiece of this concert specially complied for Noorderzon.
