'The closer, the better' they always say. This certainly applies to the music of the Groningen band Never Been to Berlin. This singer-producer duo, consisting of Midnight Phone Carl (Sander Kaatee) and Goossie Dilligans (Goya Buitenhuis), creates inciting anglophone dance music, tapping into all kinds of genres for inspiration. They take their listeners on a trip into the unknown. Their debut album Aha-Erlebnis (2020) features magical trance, inciting pop as well as downright pounding beats. Their latest EP ‘Junction’ – released in May 2022 – again features more groovy tracks. Though well on their way to make it big, you can still catch them now in their home-town at Noorderzon.
