There are five Norwegian guys in this young musically talented party band, which – we promise – you will not easily forget. GANGAR mixes traditional Norwegian music with rockabilly influences and a touch of metal. Inspired by bands such as Shining, AC/DC and Meshuggah, they manage to make traditional music accessible without compromising on the (rootsy) quality of their music. Lead singer and violinist Mattias Thedens effortlessly manages to merge his folk and dance music background with the experience of the other band members in the field of jazz, funk, pop, soul and heavy metal.
