Family lines stay tender even over time

What are you ashamed of? And why are we ashamed of anything in the first place? In the moving and universally relatable Shame by the upcoming Polish theatre director Gosia Wdowik, three generations of women from one family are confronted with questions about heredity and shame. This play is the compelling last part of Wdowik’s trilogy about emotions. Based on her personal experiences, she explores how shame works as well as how it leads to social inequality in societies. For who has the privilege to talk about weakness and shame, and also: how should this exactly be done?

Wdowik's performance is truly moving.
