They say you should chose your (circus) battles...

Two sublime circus artists. They are best friends as well as each other’s biggest rivals. Both want to be the best, faster and stronger than the other. They battle till the very last drop of sweat, pushing each other to the edge. Gregarious is a wonderfully anti-heroic play about competition versus fraternity. Team spirit versus rivalry. A truly contemporary circus gem bursting with charm, energy and sparkling humour, based on years of friendship of its performing artists.

On our Apollo outdoor stage, right in the middle of the Noorderplantsoen, Nilas Kronlid (Sweden) and Manel Rosés (Spain) blast their audience with a continuous stream of superior moves during their first joint performance ever. Kronlid and Rosés first met at the School of Dance and Circus in Sweden and started successfully working together at companies such as the Cirque du Soleil, ultimately winning a golden medal at the ultra-prestigious Festival du Cirque de Demain. So prepare yourself for three quarters of an hour of spectacular scenarios packed with funny quips, highly recognizable situations and a bit of self-mockery.

About the artist

Soon Circus Company was founded by Nilas Kronlid and Manel Rosés. They met at Circus University of Stockholm. Together with two others, they made a wavering act that won gold at Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. They have collaborated with companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Circus Cirkör and many more. The passion for acrobatics and movement has brought them together, friendship and similar artistic goals keep them together. The performance Gregarious is their first production. The show has been presented 80 times in more than 10 different countries.
