Togo All Stars

What do you get when you gather all the stars as well as the young and old legends from Togo? The Togo All Stars! This massive band is from – you already guessed it – Togo in Africa, a country next to Ghana and Benin. Horns and percussion take you by the hand, stir you up, and leave you glowing for quite some time afterwards. It’s Jazz, it’s Pop, it’s Afro Beat, Samba, Funk as well as music heavily influenced by voodoo. Close your eyes and imagine you’re on a white beach, the sun on your face, your feet in the sand and a tropical cocktail in your hand. But when you open your eyes again, it’s even better: you’re in the Noorderplantsoen, with your feet in the grass, a cold beer or a glass of wine in your hand and the band playing on Apollo right in front of you. Did someone say: “I wanna dance”? Then this is the place to be!
