Like lilies, they float on the surface of the water, the hundreds of light elements, indeed appropriately coined ‘Lily’s’. They communicate with their environment, subtly changing in colour and thus creating amazing patterns. The Groningen WERC Art Collective – fascinated by interactive media art in relation to the digital and the physical world – has created a magical light spectacle floating in the dark world of the pond at the Leliesingel (Dutch for Lily Canal). Appearing for the second time at Noorderzon, Lily will undoubtedly once again offer its viewers many special moments of amazement.
