Ævestaden is a Norwegian/Swedish trio playing newly composed and traditional music with both ancient and modern instruments. Lyres, violin, mouth harp, vocals and electronics harmonise together in an idiosyncratic soundscape. The songs are about the conscious and the unconscious - secular and sacred - about life and death. About profound themes like gaining access to the kingdom of God, but also about longing for someone to think of you at night. With mirror tent Pollux as the ultimate stage for them at Noorderzon, will you come too?
