Hit the North presents: Maartje

Maartje makes perceptive Dutch pop that captures the restlessness of growing up in catchy hooklines. With influences from artists like Eefje de Visser and Troye Sivan, she and her band dance through the wonderful chaos of self-development. Maartje sounds like coming of age on an electronic beat, accessible and a tad unusual.

Hit the North is the talent development program for artists in the Northern Netherlands. Participants of Hit the North follow intensive bootcamps, workshops and coaching sessions focused on artistic growth and business skills. The goal is for young talent to advance to regional and national stages after this program. One of the performances is at ESNS and one of the Liberation Festivals in the north of the Netherlands.
