Qbeast  (24 Aug 18:30 - 18:50)
Qbeast had a feel for music from a young age. When he was thirteen he got his own laptop and a new world opened up for him. That's when he started producing his own music.

Now twenty-four years old, Qbeast is his own producer and lyricist. His dynamic and sensitive lyrics and unique melodies set him apart from other hip-hop artists. With his combination of styles of lo-fi, trap, R&B and new wave, Qbeast likes to be unique and give his own twist to everything.
Qbeast likes to open new doors in the Dutch music industry. Through his different styles, deep lyrics and unique beats he wants to touch and inspire people.

Cody (24 Aug 18:50 - 19:10)
The Groningen artist Cody is already building up his music career. Besides being a drummer for the artist Redson, he is also spreading his own wings. The versatile creative makes music with lyrics full of self-reflection. Cody takes the listener on a journey through his personal and profound stories. With hip-hop at its base, he makes music filled with funk, soul and jazz influences and draws inspiration from Anderson .Paak, Loyle Carner, Black Wave and Kendrick Lamar.

Tays (Aug. 24, 7:10 - 7:30 p.m.)
Tays (Taysier El-Sayed, 24) is a DIY hip-hop artist. tays spent much of his teenage years in the North Holland village of Wervershoof, where he was introduced to such diverse music as Acda and the Munnik, Dire Straits, but also Eminem. Especially the latter stuck with him: tays analyzed lyrics and studied rhyme schemes, which gave him something to hold on to in a turbulent period of many changes and moves. This passion led tays to rappers such as Loyle Carner, Tyler the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Sor and Sef, who are still a great source of inspiration.

When he was seventeen, he began to discover making beats himself. After becoming more and more agile and comfortable with this, after three years he also started writing his first lyrics. Now twenty-four years old, tays brings together his personal lyrics about youth, love and processing grief with dreamy instrumentals and heavy boombap.

Hassenpflug: Keizerskroon: Ik ga dood, maar leef nu (Aug. 24, 10:30 - 11:00 p.m.)

In “Keizerskroon: Ik ga dood, maar leef nu” Hassenpflug combines singing, rap with movement, light and sound and turns it into a special show. He goes through the different stages from child, adolescent to adult with themes of life, death and rebirth taking center stage.

This is the past, the present and this is our future. These are our choices, our creations, to make together out of nothing, into something.

In this show, Hassenpflug also wants to challenge viewers to ask themselves the question:
“Can I give myself everything in the life I live?”
This is a production of NORTH/ Up North.

Daiya (Aug 24 23:00 - 23:30)
Daiya was born with a love of music. At an early age, he developed a profound passion for rhythm and sound. In his teens, Daiya was introduced to hip-hop, a genre that would change his life forever. It was the raw honesty of the lyrics, the complex rhythms and the creative expression of the artists that attracted him. Secretly, there was always the need to make music himself, and Daiya decided to expand his creative horizons and began experimenting with turntables and music production.

Daiya's work as a DJ and producer is heavily influenced by both oldschool and modern hip-hop. Artists such as Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Kendrick Lamar and Joey Bada$$ have left a lasting impression on him. Furthermore, Daiya draws a lot of inspiration from producers such as DJ Premier and The Alchemist. His sets consist of a mix of classics and raw underground Boombap tracks. A perfect selection for the true hip-hop lover.
