How deep should we go?

We keep on digging deeper and deeper, reaching for more, but does mankind really know where it’s heading? How much deeper can the mining companies keep digging and what are the challenges and risks? What possibilities are for the taking? After their successful performances Mining Stories (in 2017 at Noorderzon and in 2018 winner of the ZKB Patronage Prize of the Zürich Theatre Spectacle in Switzerland) and Pleasant Island the Flemish theatre makers Silke Huysmans and Hannes Dereere present the final part of their trilogy about the mining industry.

After the land, shall we now also plunder the ocean? In conversation with scientists, companies and activists, the duo finds out.
