A circus of self-discovery

Get ready for an immersive journey of self-discovery that shows how we sometimes lose ourselves in an attempt to meet the expectations of others. With breathtaking acrobatics, nostalgic music and stunning stunts, The Mirror pushes the limits of what the human body is capable of. At the same time, it tells us that we are all unique and valuable, just the way we are. This time, Gravity & Other Myths is not only going to entertain you, but also inspire and encourage you to reflect on your own life in this complex world. Gravity & Other Myths, acclaimed worldwide for their innovative circus arts, returns to Noorderzon for the third time this year. Previously you saw them with the sold-out performances Backbone (2017) and Out of Chaos (2019), and this year they present The Mirror in our big Spiegeltent Castor.

About the artist

Gravity and Other Myths is a circus company with roots in Adelaide, Australia. They utilise an honest approach to performance to create work with a focus on human connection and acrobatic virtuosity. Through this, they hope to maintain an exceptional and diverse artistic program. After forming 2009 as a group of young Adelaide artists with a passion for circus and physical theatre, GOM spent the past 13 years growing steadily and creating six critically acclaimed main stage works.
